Like most car nuts, Simon was hooked long before reaching driving age, so his first motorsport exploits involved Scalextric models! After too many company cars for too many years, his Alpine-Renault GTA V6 turbo was acquired in 2004. Simon, who's also active in the Alpine Renault Owners Club, joined FDMC in 2006, entering the GTA in sprints and hillclimbs.

With continuing development of the car, results have included class wins, and above all a lot of fun. The 'silver bullet' also gets used in European navigational rallies, and for social purposes. For 2011, Simon has joined the committee as our Competition Secretary,
