Concentration... it's about to pay off for Michael Duncan, as his MG TF, shared with father Peter, heads for the third place award in Class E, for Production sports cars. Martin Prescott, sharing David Sampson's Golf, finished third in Class D, and a strong 13th overall; Ian Rogers, sharing Philip Cook's Corolla, took second in Class C; and Tim Read (driving his own car!) was competing in the Historic class with the MGA, which we more often see Sprinting.
Georgina Kuhl took the ladies' award with a Nissan Almera estate, her Westfield being not quite ready; David McDermid was giving his Mazda RX8 its first Solo outing, and George Wall, more often on the organising side of these events, enjoyed a return to the driver's seat in his Mazda 323.
Rob Rollinson and David Crowe were sharing this Escort, one of the rarely seen Mk4 RS2000's, and in our last picture of the start / finish area, Clerk of the Course Steve Woodings seems to be explaining something to Carl Streatfield, while the 'men in yellow' see to the competitors.
