FDMC's Solo Challenge is an annual, club level Autosolo championship for our members, based on all FDMC's Solos through a given year (usually, four events). The rules are here, SoloChallenge.pdf and there's information about these events on our AutoSolos page, plus news and discussion in the Autotests and Solos section of our Forum.

2015: The Final Positions and Awards

In the ninth year of our Solo Challenger, the four events saw 70 members scoring points, by entering at least one of the rounds. (You can also score points by taking a key organising role, at one of these events). So thanks, as always, to all the competitors who took part, and to the organising teams who ran the events.

Firstly, here are the drivers who take the overall awards, for the highest scores, regardless of class:

First overall: Martin Prescott, Mazda MX5, 36.5 points

Second Equal overall: Malcolm Rogers, Fisher Fury, and Paul Prescott, Mini and Saxo, both on 31.00 points

Third overall: Keith Pettit, Sprite Mk1, 30.75 points

The First in Class award winnners are:

1st Class A: Martyn Phillis, MGB GT V8

1st Class B: Peter Manning, Mini 1300

1st Class C: Andy Deeley, Citroen Saxo

1st Class D: Reece Williams, Skoda Fabia VRS

1st Class E: Aaron Roffey, Smart Roadster

1st Class F: Alan Caldecourt, Westfield SE

2014: The Final Positions and Awards

In a very active year of Soloing, something like 90 members scored points by entering at least one of the rounds. So thanks to all the competitors who took part, and to the organising teams who ran the events.

Firstly, here are the drivers who take the overall awards, for the highest scores, regardless of class:

First overall: Martin Prescott, Mazda MX5, 39.0 points

Second overall: Steve Woodings, Mazda MX5. 35.25 points

Third overall: Paul Prescott, Mini 1300, 33.75 points

The First in Class award winnners are:

1st Class A: Keith Pettit, Sprite Mk 1

1st Class B: Peter Manning, Mini 1300

1st Class C: Maciej Knapinski, Citroen Saxo

1st Class D: James Matons, BMW M1 coupe

2013: The Final Positions and Awards

During 2013 we could only run three, instead of our customary four events, but we still ended up with 70 members having scored points in the Solo Challenge, by entering at least one of the rounds. So thanks, yet again, to all the competitors who took part, and to the organising teams who ran the events.

Firstly, here are the drivers who take the overall awards, for the highest scores, regardless of class:

First overall: Martin Prescott, Mazda MX5, 24.75 points

Second Equal overall: Michael Duncan, BMW 318iS, and David Garside, Clio Sport 182, both on 23.00 points

Third overall: Aaron Roffey, SMART Roadster, 22.25 points

During our 2012 Solo season, more than 80 members took part in one or more of the four rounds, from which your best three scores can count. A big thank-you to all the competitors who took part, and to the organising teams who ran these four events, and following the last round in September, here are the final positions and awards.
