Our annual visit to Hungry Hill was blessed this year by sunny weather. To equalize the performance of different types of car, PCT results are decided by an Index of Performance, and in the National B event, for contenders in the ACSMC PCT Championship, the winner was Michael Weeks in this MG Midget, and in the Clubsport event, Peter Crawford and his Marlin kit car.
Second place in National B went to Richard Tomkins, longtime Hillman Imp enthusiast who has a small fleet of these now-rare models, and in Clubsport to Ed Nikel's VW based Buggy.
Don Stringer was competing in this 70 year old Austin 7, complete with its original cable brakes, and the Citroen AX GT was driven by Cliff Morrell, to finish third in National B.
As the drivers gather for their pre-event briefing, this scene also shows the unusual sandy soil of the Hungry Hill area.
