2010: The action starts here !
March 21st, and it was time to play AutoSoloing again, at Montgomery Lines. The entry list included a healthy number of first time competitors, and for this event we tried a couple of variations on our normal format, with extra runs in the afternoon (4 runs, with the best 2 to count), and a choice of routes on the last course, which both proved popular. From a day of sunny and not-so-sunny intervals, this report aims to show you a selection of the competitors.
For the leading positions, the expected day-long battle resulted in Kevin Belcher (Impreza) eventually taking first overall from Andrew Thompson (Caterham), for the first time, with Kevin's winning margin being just 1.5 seconds.

Matt Downes and Steve Woodings also finished less than 2 seconds apart, with Matt taking second in class F and third overall with his SCC Stylus, and Steve taking first place in Class E and fourth overall in his Mazda MX5.
Ben Griffin and his 106 Rallye finished 9th overall, on their way to first in Class C. Among the first time competitors, Sophie Trickett shared the Toyota MR2 with brother Simon, who finished second in class E, and sprint driver Allan Brown was having a day's fun with his Seat Arosa.
