Dave's motorsporting history includes motorcycle scrambling when younger, but he now prefers four wheels - it hurts less when you fall off. Dave and his wife Carla are one of the regular marshalling teams on major events, both locally and further afield, together with being as an official rally radio operator, under the Farnborough2 callsign.

Together with volunteering for the Chief Marshal and Social Secretary roles in FDMC, Dave has also found time to start competing again in the driving seat, with a Fiesta and more recently a Golf GTi, in Sprints and Solo's.
