This year's Dimanche Sprint was a qualifying round in three championships, the ACSMC Sprint Championship, the Toyo Tyres Westfield Sports Car Club Speed Series, and the Luffield Cars MGCC Speed Championship. Out of 70 entries, Simon Besant, repeating his success of last year, took Fastest Time of Day in his V8 Westfield.
Tim Pennington took a heroic second overall, with 1700cc's of pushrod Ford powering his Westfield, beating many cars with more exotic engines.
The smallest Production class saw Martyn Crowe and his Metro GTi snatch first place, on the last runs, from John Dignan in his MG ZR 1.4.
This startline scene shows Rod Styles, launching his 2 litre Anglia into a 57 second run, to take the Best FDMC Member award.
Mark Squire, with his Megabusa (motorcycle) engined Westfield, came second out of 17 entries in Class 7, while new FDMC member Ian Hardy was enjoying his first event in this unusual Sylva Leader.
Brian Stevens and his increasingly quick Mazda RX7 took a strong second place, out of 11 entries, in Class 10.
