Another Sunday at the Eelmoor military driver training course, and FDMC's first Sprint of the 2003 season. In addition to FDMC members and ACSMC contenders, entries came from MG owners competing in the MGCC's Luffield Cars championship, and other local clubs, including Hart MC. Ian Gaskell and his Westfield SEiw were on sharp form, setting Fastest Time of Day.
Chasing hard were Martin Pilcher, 2nd overall with his Cosworth engined rally Escort, and Andy Silman, 3rd overall with his Vauxhall engined Westfield.
Nigel Patten brought out a French classic, the R8 Gordini 1300, and this page includes three generations of MG: first, Robert Bell's MGF, which finished second in class 1/2.
Next, Roy Clarke's smart Midget, and Terri Pearson, having a guest drive in Roger Lane's XR3i, to take the Ladies award.
Martin Warren with his rally prepared Sierra Cosworth, and Martyn Phillis in his modified (1950 cc) MGA coupe - some cars just get better with age.
