David's form book includes UK road rallying in the 70's, followed by moving to the Middle East, and becoming active in the Qatar Car Club and Bahrain Motor Club. Here the calendar grew to 40 events per year, entire rally cars could disappear into sand dunes, and rallycrosses could be 2 miles per lap.... he also contested the Middle East Rally Challenge, as a member of the factory backed Mitsubishi team.
Returning to the UK in the 80's, David combined FDMC activities with co - driving in BTRDA championship stage events. He claims he's now hung up his helmet for good, but remains busy as an MSA Steward, and in other organisational roles. A fan of USA style motorsport, he'll die happy if Rockingham brings the Winston Cup to Europe.
