Carl's motoring past includes rebuilding air cooled VW's, constructing at least two kit cars, and track day adventures with a Porsche 924 Le Mans. As an FDMC member, he began sprinting with a 16 valve Golf, swapped later for this Series 1 Lotus Elise which appears frequently in sprints and Solo's, and is now also the club's Secretary.

When not doing things connected with cars or motorsport, Carl works in IT, but claims a secret yearning to do something more useful, like opening his own mountain bike shop.....
