Just how young can you start in motorsport? In Brett's case, he was competing on short circuit ovals, in 1000 cc Mini Stock cars, from the age of 10, which might be a record, even for an FDMC member ! At 15 you can move up to 1400 cc Stock Rods, so that's what Brett did, followed by a move into circuit racing with a Fiat X1/9.
As an FDMC member, as well as helping behind the scenes, Brett has competed in Solos and in our more 'off road' events, firstly in a Golf GTi prepared for track days, then a Peugeot 205 GTi rally car, and with anything else that comes to hand, including an Astra, Paul Sheehan's Peugeot 206, and the Vauxhall Corsa seen in this picture. Brett has also found time to join the Committee, and is now our Club Secretary.
