FDMC Autumn Antics Slalom, Oct 2012, Page 2
From the Prescotts' car collection, Martin was driving his 'everyday' Nissan Micra this time, to finish in fourth place out of 17 entries in class B.
The Clio Sport, in Alan Vinall's hands, is more often seen in our Solos, and was getting its first run at this event.
New members Malcolm and Jake Rogers were sharing their 1300 Mini Sprite, with Jake driving here, and Malcolm finishing third in Class A.
Another Micra driver, and previous winner of this event, Jim Pullar and his Nissan were heading for third overall, and the second place in class A.
The Mazda MX5 was being shared by Robert and Andrew Dudley, with Robert driving here, and their test times falling mostly within the same second
throughout the day, until Andrew eventually pulled out a 3 second margin to win Class D.
It was Maciej Knapinksi's first time at this event with his Fiat Seicento, which appears regularly in Solos, to take the second place award
in Class A. Barney Lower, a previous entrant here in Minis, has moved up to this BMW 318iS and was seen enjoying the handling of its (very)
limited slip rear end.
And to finish, here's the Vauxhall Tigra of new members Martin and Colin Hillyer, who were taking part in their first FDMC event, waiting for
the start signal on Test area 2.
