British Summer Time Ends - here
Our 10th annual loose surfaced slalom coincided with the clocks changing - perhaps this was why so many of the drivers arrived on time - and they're seen above at the pre event briefing, with the chief organisers, Steve Woodings and Paul Prescott. The overall lead at this event is often a battle between Roger Dudley and Kevin Lower, driving various cars. After multiple runs through several groups of tests, it was Roger's turn to win the event with his Scamp kit car, with Kevin taking second overall in the red Mini, shared with his son Zach, who also won the junior 'PCA' section in this car.
Dolphin MC's Derek Looker, driving this 205 XS from his collection of Peugeots, was trading seconds all day with Russell Roberts in the red Nova, whose deceptively relaxed driving style can be seen here. Derek eventually pulled ahead, to win Class B by just two seconds, and take third overall.
After a season of tarmac Solos, Tomasz Chojnacki was enjoying the chance to use his Toyota Celica GT4's power on the loose surfaces. Adam and David Garside were giving their Corsa, just purchased on EBay, its first taste of motorsport, with David at work in this picture, and the special award for two drivers sharing the same car was taken by this team.
