The youngest driver, also taking part in his first ever motorsport event, was Robert Lees, sharing Andrew's Nova.
David Manning, seen here in one of the afternoon's wetter moments, finished eighth overall in the family Mini, while Andrew and Laura Dudley brought Andrew's rally Escort out from retirement, to take second and fourth in the larger saloons class.
Metro GTi's are now a frequent sight at FDMC events, and with five drivers sharing three of these little green machines, Gwyn Jones emerged as 'Metro driver of the day', just 0.2 seconds ahead of Chris Dear. In the same class was the Nova SR of Bill Mexson (driving here) and Steve Whittington, now with its engine in full health.
Surfing through the rain on Test 9, Neil Harrison, with the 205GTi 1.9 which he first used for sprinting, and has now been rally prepared.
