Our Summer Solo used the same site as our recent Spring Solo's, and Andrew Thompson again took the Best Individual award, driving his 1600 Caterham. The pictures we feature in this report include quite a number of first - time competitors, so we hope they enjoyed it, and look forward to seeing them again!

Recent new FDMC member Russell Smith showed very impressive pace, to finish second overall, and first in class, with his modified Honda CRX.

In the Historic class, Andy Gibson took second place in his much - rallied Midget, while by contrast, Dave Newman and his 1300 Escort were competing in their first event.

In the strongly supported Class C, for up to 1400 saloons, David Garside from Basingstoke MC took his very smart Nova into second place.

The larger engined saloons saw Dave Greenslade from Bristol MC emerge on top, in his Mitsubishi Lancer turbo. After a very close battle for second, between two Dolphin MC members, Derek Looker's 205GTi finished just ahead of Ian Harrison' Mondeo.
