FDMC Challenge Shield Grass Autotest, May 2003

This year's 'grass roots' motorsport started with the Challenge Shield event at Crondall, one of our regular sites, where competitors drove six tests twice, with their best times to count. The National B event featured a small but select entry of ACSMC Championship contenders, with Martin Neal and his Midget emerging as the overall winners.

Paul's pictures in this report are from the Clubsport event, where Jamie Bailey took FTD with this Nova:

James Larcher shared the Orion with Katie Hunt, while John Nicholls gave a first outing to this Freestyle special, with rear mounted Mini engine.

Dave Dockree and Andy Boyington shared Dave's Sunbeam 1.6Ti - which has done more events than anyone can remember - while Grenville Williamson introduced the MPV to autotesting.... taking the Scenic route?
